About SCA
A principal on your project,
not a bench
The engineer who scopes your project is the engineer who writes the narrative and stands in the field at loop check. Drafting and specialty resources scale under that direction as the work requires.
The firm
Who you are hiring
SCA Consultants is the trading name of Skyhawk Controls and Automation Solutions, LLC, a controls integration and automation services firm based in Rosenberg, Texas.
Forty years of process controls
The practice is built on four decades of process controls and automation work across midstream oil and gas, specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer products and water treatment.
That is not a resume line. It is why the control narrative anticipates the failure modes your operators will actually see, and why the estimate reflects what the field work really takes.
Documentation as the product
Most controls packages fail their owner two years later, when the people who built them are gone and nothing on file explains why the logic does what it does.
SCA treats the narrative, cause & effect and design specification as the primary deliverable, with the code as its implementation — not the other way around.

What we work in
A deliberately narrow platform stack, worked deeply, against the standards your auditors, insurers and process safety group already reference.

Sealed engineering
SCA Consultants provides controls integration, automation and technical services. SCA does not offer sealed professional engineering services in-house.
Where a project requires drawings or documents bearing a Texas P.E. seal, that scope is subcontracted to a registered engineering firm, and the sealed deliverables are issued under that firm's registration and Engineer of Record.
We state this at inquiry because it determines how your package is bid, sealed and filed — and it is better settled at kickoff than at issue-for-construction.
Engagement models
Lump sum. Defined deliverable list, fixed fee, revision allowance stated in the proposal.
Time and materials with NTE. For field verification, troubleshooting and commissioning support where scope is discovered as you go.
Retained technical support. Ongoing access for legacy system support, standards governance and estimate review.
Independent review. Fixed-fee second look at another party's design, estimate or bid package.
